Spiritual development classesThe spiritualist philosophy has been operating for over one hundred and forty years and within this time the philosophy has grown into a safe and structured training program. Working with specialised teachers with many years of experience in developing mediumship, and working with guides and loved ones who have passed into spirit, we offer you a training program which seeks to help you to unfold your spiritual connection to your own loved ones and spirit guides. This is a unique and sacred journey that you begin when you seek to follow your own path to your spiritual unfoldment. We do not seek to answer all of your questions but offer guidance and support which allows you to open up and explore your own inner truth.Developing mediumship is a journey of soul maturation, you cannot expect to spend a few short week or do a six week course and have the skills it takes to become a link between spirit and earth, like any skill you develop, it takes time and dedication to really open up to the deep level of truth that you can begin to draw into your life. MeditationThis is an effective tool to use to bring a state in introspection and quietness to you life, if you are looking to develop your mediumship, meditation is the first step on that journey. You will begin to open your awareness to the world behind your eyes. You take the time to open up to the subtle realms of your life, using your intuition and the emotional aspects of your nature. It takes time to establish a routine and so successfully quiet the mind enough to begin to open up to the voice of spirit, but it is well worth the effort. The calming and healing effects of meditation cannot be underestimated in your quest to develop your connection to your inner spirit and also to help you to interact in a quiet and positive way within life in general.Guardian spiritIn class through meditation you will make the connection with your spirit guides your Guardian spirit joins you at birth, It is that voice of inspiration and guidance that you have heard throughout your life. Its that quiet voice, that gut feeling, that warning that guides you to safety, it is the subtle force that has been directing you even if you have never recognised it. The Guardian spirit will become your best friend on the journey.DoorkeeperThe keeper of the door works to give you a safe environment in which to open up to the spirit world, this guide joins you when you start to open and develop your mediumship. They keep the whole process orderly by only allowing those who you are connecting with while you are doing a reading to make contact and enter your energy. They are extremely important to get to know when you begin to work with the spirit word.SymbologySpirit use this form of communication when you first start to develop, it is important to learn your own associations to to the pictures that are presented to you in a reading. A picture tells a thousand words and so it is a quick and effective tool for spirit to use when in communication, it is up to you to interpret this information, this is a most important skills when developing your mediumship.Proof of survivalThe most important aspect of your development is to connect to those who have passed away, to make a connection and to bring this connection through to the person you are giving the reading to. We encourage you to become the link between the sitter and their loved one in spirit, we do this by giving clear proof of the spirit entities by describing their physical appearance, by personality descriptions and by tangible physical evidence that can be placed by the sitter.TerminologyReceiving your symbology and interpreting this information is only half of the process to formulating your reading, you must also be able to present this information to your client. To be able to pass on spirits message in a way which will be caring and acceptable and which will cause no upset to the person who you reading for. I cannot stress the importannce of this in your training. You must always work from a place of integrity, taking care to cause no distress to the person with whom the information is presented to. You must be careful as to what information you present and for the way you present it. You are always responsible for what you present within your reading.
Victorian Spiritualist Union Spiritualism Course There are five, monthly Saturday sessions covering ¨ Philosophy of Spiritualism 2011 course at the Ringwood East church February 12 Sessions run from 2 - 5pm Members $125 Non-members $150 Meditation & the development circle teacher Carol crawford Learn about the Seven Principles and the spiritual nature of man, scientific investigations of and evidence for Spiritualism and the various types of phenomena and mediumship. Hear of the importance of meditation, and how to undertake your own spiritual development, and gain an overview of world religions and mysticism over the ages. Manuals are provided and each session is presented by a different medium and includes homework to be completed and submitted before the next session. Students are encouraged to attend the A’Beckett St. Discussion Group as it provides an additional opportunity to review and discuss the previous session’s topic
